You have decided to have your outdoor space designed by a professional garden designer and now want to inform yourself about the possible process.

My design service can be used in its entirety or in individual elements:

As a freelance garden designer, I implement your wishes and requirements. My goal is to plan within your budget. My designs are not influenced by special or remnant items, but you save costs because you can select the best offer in the material range as well as in the plants by separate tenders to different suppliers. Thus, you have the full cost control.

1. Consultation

An important element to get to know you and your concern. We will discuss whether I can help you with a planting plan or whether it will be a design that might be a full planning or perhaps only a part of your garden.

2. First meeting

This appointment on site gives me an overview of the local conditions, such as location, orientation, soil conditions, etc. In a detailed conversation, I record your wishes and ideas. Usually, this takes about two hours, for which I initially charge a flat rate of 160 Euros (plus travel costs over 50 km), which are credited when you are commissioning a planning with me.

3. Quote

After the local meeting you will receive a summary of our conversation about your ideas, wishes or possibilities together with a cost estimate for my design work.

4. Survey

In order to make an feasable and tailor-made plan, I need accurate measurements and relevant information of existing garden elements, e.g. trees, sheds, etc. Therefore, surveying by a professional surveyor is recommended.

5. Concept

This is a draft concept that will be discussed together and is open to change or expansion. Your suggestions are very welcome here, because it should become your personal garden.

6. Masterplan

The master plan will be provided when no changes are made and you have given your full approval. For better visualization, an axonometric drawing (3D) can be created on request.

7. Technical drawings and specifications

You will receive all necessary technical drawings for the execution by a landscaper or contractors as well as a complete listing of all work to be carried out.

8. Planting plan

A planting plan can be created independently of a garden design. This includes a list with the exact Latin name, number, genus, variety and pot size and a drawing for the placement of the plants. Planting by the pro looks good all year round, consists of good quality plants and a selection that suits your circumstances.

9. Construction support

Upon request, I look after the realization of your garden. A construction support is carried out by hourly charging – on record and fee basis.
