Urban Garden

Design for a north-east facing garden, which was unused by the previous owner. The new owners, a young couple, both working, therefore wanted a modern and easy-care garden, they wanted to use the garden especially in the evenings and on weekends. The seating area should be near the patio door and have plenty of room for friends. A comfortable corner for relaxation and a modern water sculpture should also be integrated.

My design is based on a modern, urban style; the elements are simple but elegant. The wooden fence was replaced by new teak panels and a modern, slate-gray stone covering was chosen for the paving. The wall was provided with stainless steel climbing aids and planted with climbing plants.

Through a subdivision of the garden I created three areas that make the garden interesting and meet the wishes of the couple. The planting loosens up the straight lines and is held in the desired colors of pink, rose and aubergine. The lighting in selected places makes the garden interesting and usable in the evening.
